Jonathan Glen Drake

Jonathan is an attorney with Strems Law Firm who practices out of the Tampa office, mainly handling first-party insurance litigation.

Before becoming a member of Strems Law Jonathan graduated from Transylvania University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Spanish Language and Literature.  Jonathan was then a state certified high school Spanish teacher with Hillsborough County from 2007 until 2013. Jonathan graduated from Stetson University College of Law with a Doctor of Jurisprudence in December 2012.

 Jonathan then joined Toledo PA in 2013 upon gaining admission to the Florida Bar. During his years at Toledo, Jonathan represented clients in immigration, criminal, personal injury, workers compensation, bankruptcy, foreclosure, and other various civil cases.

Jonathan has tried multiple felony and misdemeanor criminal jury trials to verdict as most serious of those criminal trial cases having a maximum possible punishment of life in prison. He has also completed more than 20 immigration bench trials known as Individual hearings and appearing at immigration hearings in Texas, Illinois, Virginia, Georgia, Louisiana, and Florida. Jonathan has participated in motion hearings, depositions, mediations, and other procedural matters in civil and workers compensation cases. He has also done appellate work in the 2nd and 3rd DCAs in Florida, the United States District Courts, and written more than 20 appellate briefs with the Board of Immigration Appeals. 

Jonathan is a member of the Florida Bar and is also admitted to practice in the United States Middle and Southern Districts of Florida.
