H. Vance Smith

Vance Smith is a native of Tampa, Florida.  After attending local public schools, he enrolled at the University of Miami where he received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1964.  In 1968, a Juris Doctor degree was conferred by John B. Stetson University College of Law and he began the private practice of law as an associate with Macfarlane, Ferguson, Allison & Kelly.  Over time, he served as a partner, managing partner and director of that firm.   On August 15, 1997, he became a founding shareholder and president of Smith Clark Delesie Bierley Mueller & Kadyk with nine of his former partners at Macfarlane Ferguson. In 2009 he retired from Smith Clark and became Of Counsel to the successor firm of Kadyk & Delesie. Vance has also established Resolution Solutions LLC to provide affordable mediation services as an adjunct to his continuing trial practice. In 2014 he successfully completed a Supreme Court of Florida Approved Arbitration Training Program pursuant to the Florida Rules for Court Appointed Arbitrators
