Gerald Albrecht

Gerald T. Albrecht is a Partner at Butler Pappas. Jerry has been with the firm for 25 years. He has served on the firm's Executive Committee, and is the Chair of the Property Coverage Department. Jerry's practice is primarily first party property coverage both for commercial insurance carriers and homeowner's carriers. Jerry has been practicing law since 1987. He is licensed to practice in all three Federal District Courts in the State of Florida. He is rated AV Preeminent by Martindale Hubble. Jerry has handled cases throughout the United States and most notably tried, and won, the "Russian Roulette" wrongful death case.

Jerry is a frequent speaker and panelist on property coverage and arson and fraud issues. He is the author of "Truth of Consequences: An Analysis of the Concealment or Fraud Defense" and the author of "The Examination Under Oath-An Owner's Manual," both appearing in "For the Defense" magazine. He also wrote "The Examination Under Oath: A Vital Tool in Examining Potentially Fraudulent Claims" published in CLM's Litigation Management magazine. One of his "boat scuttling cases" was featured in Boating Magazine. Jerry is a frequent speaker for such organizations as the Defense Research Institute; the Florida Advisory Committee on Arson Prevention; the Insurance Committee on Arson Control; the Florida Insurance Fraud Education Counsel, and the Florida Windstorm Association. Jerry provides a number of presentations regarding trial tactics, litigation, and fire investigation.
