Anthony John Steele

Anthony Steele is a Tampa, Florida native. Mr. Steele attended Jesuit High School and graduated in 1985. He later attended Florida State University and graduated in 1990 with a bachelor's degree in Social Science. Thereafter, he earned his Juris Doctor degree from St. Thomas University School of Law in Miami, Florida. Mr. Steele began his practice of law at a small firm in Miami in 1996 doing civil litigation until he was able to obtain an opportunity to return to the Tampa Bay area and work another small firm in Clearwater in 1999. In addition to gaining further civil litigation experience, he added wills and probate, commercial real estate transactions, and business formations to his professional skill set during that time. In 2001, Mr. Steele joined the in-house legal department of Asset Acceptance LLC, a large, publicly-traded consumer debt buyer, and worked as a Senior Staff Attorney there until 2012. Prior to joining McIntyre Thanasides in November, 2014, he was Staff Counsel for another major consumer debt buyer, Midland Credit Management, LLC. His current practice will focus on representing individuals against mortgage companies, credit card companies, and other consumer lenders in actions for violations of the applicable federal and/or state consumer protection statutes. Mr. Steele is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
