Michael Kurth

I came to Florida in 1987 and spent the next 14 years pursuing a career in law enforcement in St. Lucie County and for the City of Port St. Lucie. I enjoyed my time as a law enforcement officer having had the opportunity to serve in many different capacities from patrolling the streets to supervising police officers and serving on and commanding the department’s SWAT team. What I enjoyed most was the interaction I had with the community and having the opportunity to help people negotiate and resolve issues and at times some of the most difficult and trying issues that life can bring. I retired from law enforcement in December of 2001 to pursue a legal education. I attended the Levin College of Law at the University of Florida and attained my Juris Doctor Degree in 2004.

After successfully completing the Florida Bar Exam I landed an associate attorney position and subsequently practiced general law. In May of 2006, I invested in a family business in which my assistance was required. I owned and operated the business for approximately six years. Subsequent to selling my interests in the business I worked as an associate attorney in Stuart, Florida. It was during this time I found my passion for representing the injured. In October of 2014, I opened my own practice and focused exclusively on representing plaintiff clients that had been injured as the result of the negligence of others.

As a law enforcement officer it was a pleasure to protect and serve the citizens of St. Lucie County. I founded MZK Law, P.A. with the specific intent to protect the rights of people that have been injured through no fault of their own by providing the best client service possible.
