A native of Pennsylvania, with ties to Georgia and Florida, I am a former combat medic and hospital CFO who attended law school in 2004 at Temple University in Philadelphia. As an attorney I have practiced various types of law throughout the years and now focus on estate planning, trusts and wills, probate, business law, contracts and health law for mid-sized medical practices and ancillary facilities.
As an associate at Capozzi Adler, P.C. in Harrisburg I represented nursing homes with employee and compliance issues. This provided me with a basis of understanding of elder law and the needs of our elder population. Throughout my career in healthcare I was responsible for financial management and the administrative processes associated with admissions, billing, and case management. As a financial officer my goal was to improve the internal processes of the hospitals I was employed by to minimize wait times, resolve problems, simplify the admissions process and assist with billing and insurance disputes. This experience provided me with an understanding of the difficulties experienced by patients when faced with challenging life decisions and has helped me to develop compassion toward my clients in my practice now.
I am licensed in Pennsylvania, Florida and Georgia and spend time in all three states. I enjoy traveling which affords me the opportunity to hike in the mountains or walk on the beach. I have support staff in both Florida and Georgia who coordinate services, respond to inquiries, assist in document drafting, and file court forms. Many of our services are offered virtually, saving you time and money.
