One of nine dental malpractice cases related to unsafe and failed dental implant treatments, Ms. Wolfe handled against the defendant, Robert Mansueto. Going into trial, defendant made no offers to sett ... le the case, and the defense lawyer was extremely contentious. Finally, Ms. Wolfe and her clients were able to assist the California Dental Board in stripping Dr. Mansueto of his license to practice dentistry.

OUTCOME: Verdict of $260,000, $100,000 in punitives

Lawyer F.J. Bloomingdale was found to have committed fraud against the plaintiff, his brother-in-law, by taking $160,000 of money he held in his client trust account and using it for his own benefit wi ... thout knowledge or permission of Mr. Killman. Bloomingdale lost his license to practice law for a long period of time (over 10 years) due to his failure to pay his client back. Judgement was satisfied in full (with interest, the payment was double the original verdict).
