OUTCOME: Big victory for my client

This case was a post divorce custody case wherein my client was seeking to modify the Permanent Parenting Plan and was awarded custody of a young female child. The losing party appealed the Courts deci ... sion to the Tennessee Court of Appeals. The Tennessee Court of Appeals reversed the trial Court’s decision stating they erred and restored the previous Parenting Plan. Thereafter, we requested that the Tennessee Supreme Court take the case for review. The Tennessee Supreme Court reversed the Tennessee Court of Appeals decision and affirmed the Trial Court was correct and my client won a huge victory. That child is now safe with her parent and the original decision of the Trial Court was upheld.

OUTCOME: The Father was granted custody of the special needs child and allowed to relocate with the child. The Court's gavel fell hard in that case. Any case of alienation of a child should be taken most seriously and aggressively.

I took this case from literally almost conception of the child. I represented the Father-to-be of an unborn child with special needs. The Mother-to-be alienated the Father-to-be beginning with his at ... tempts to attend doctors appointments and the birth including making the birthing experience a disaster. It was very aggressive litigation lasting a several years. It was tried over a period of a year. There were several Court days and a lot of cross examination of Mother. The Father relocated out of state during the litigation due to a job transfer. The Mother was employed at the Courthouse. The child continued to experience neglect and alienation. A very Honorable Judge did the right thing.
