Michael Freeling is a partner of the law firm of Bloom & Freeling. Michael specializes in various areas of Real Estate, including both commercial and residential transactions. In addition, Michael’s practice involves a wide gamut of transactions most of which fall within the real estate, construction, business and corporate realm. He is known as an extremely thorough tactician who gets deals done through excellent follow up, as well as having amassed a vast network of professional and business contacts.
Michael graduated from The American University in Washington, DC in 1989 with a B.A. in Communications, Legal Institutions, Economics and Government Studies; graduating with Honors from the School of Public Affairs. He attended Hofstra University School of Law graduating with his J.D. Degree. After law school, he practiced with the Rochester, New York law firm of Mayberry, Licht, Goldman and Leone, in the area of Construction Law. Thereafter, he worked on the New York State Gubernatorial Campaign of the Hon. Richard M. Rosenbaum, and was recruited to join the firm of Gray, Feldman & Rosenbaum. While at that firm, he served as a Registered Lobbyist in the State of New York and a member of the Judicial Nominating Commission. In June of 1998, Michael moved to South Florida, where he served as an in house counsel with the Legal Department of Extended Stay America Hotels. In 2000, he started his own practice which he eventually merged with his college roommate, Jonathan Bloom, and together, they have built the respected firm of Bloom & Freeling.
Michael is very involved in the South Florida Community. He is a Past Chair of the Boca Chamber of Commerce Leads Group 2, as well as being an active member of the Chamber for over a decade. In addition, he has chaired the ADL’s Glass Leadership Institute. He serves on the ADL Regional Board, Professional Advisory Committee and is currently in his second year of chairing the Law Enforcement Committee for the ADL’s Florida Region.
