Our client went to Urgent Care and ended up with a small but permanent scar on his calf. We pursued the case and it turned out the attacking dog had bitten others prior to the day of our client's attack. We investigated this as it showed actual knowledge of this dog's vicious propensities. The case settled for $30,000.

Our client was a 50 year old security guard chasing a shoplifting suspect through the parking lot of a market in Philadelphia. His foot hit a hole in the asphalt which had been a receptacle for a pole ... which was long gone but the hole where the pole had been remained and was about 6 " wide and two inches deep. His foot caught in the hole, he fell hard and fractured his wrist. There were no eye witnesses to the fact that the client's foot caught in a hole but a customer saw the plaintiff hit the ground and came over to assist. A co-worker stated that the client had "tripped over his own feet" and was not supposed to be running to apprehend a suspect per the company handbook. The hole was open and obvious but in his hurry to catch the perpetrator, the plaintiff was not looking down.

In this case the plaintiff, a married woman in her 50's was babysitting her son's child when during a struggle to remove an article of clothing from the dog's mouth, the dog bit off the tip of her fing ... er. There was no evidence the dog had bitten any person or animal in the past. However, the dog had exhibited arguable vicious propensities before the date of this incident and the plaintiff's son warned other family members not to bring children to visit, demonstrating that he was concerned for the safety of children around the dog. The dog had been crated during most family gatherings but on this date, the dog was not crated. The case settled for $100,000 after heated negotiations.

The contractor client was riding his motorcycle when a driver exiting a store parking lot failed to look left and pulled right out into the cycle's path. She required surgery including insertion of plates and pins. The client was in a transient situation as a student and had no access to transportation to go to physical therapy. She had a permanent scar vertically up her ankle and reduced range of motion which the insurance company for the defendant blamed partly on her failure to attend PT.

We recently settled a case in which our client, a pedestrian walking across a mall parking lot cross walk, was struck by a car. Our client flew into the air, bounced off the hood and plummeted down to ... the pavement on his head. He suffered a concussion and a minor knee injury, both diagnosed in the ER. He was referred by a friend to a lawyer to handle the case but the lawyer "sat" on the file and did little. The client discovered that the lawyer was not even a personal injury lawyer, but a real estate lawyer. The lawyer told our client he believed the case was worth about $100,000 due to the fact that the client had lost his sense of smell enitirely. The prior lawyer's lack of effort on the case caused the client to seek a new attorney. We took on the case and within a year had secured a $250,000 settlement for the client who was overjoyed. Unfortunately, money cannot restore the client's sense of smell, but it can help create a nice nest egg for his eventual retirement.

This was a dog attack case from a 2012 incident in which the mother of a minor had her at the home of a friend where they were guests. The homeowner had two dogs, both of which were aggressive. The c ... ase was complicated by the fact that there were no known and documented prior incidents regarding the dog and that the mother of the minor was aware of the aggressive tendencies of the animals. One of the dogs was lying next to the minor girl and she reached over to hug the dog. The dog bit her on the face. The wounds healed well and are barely visible today.

In this case, the plaintiff was driving in a snowstorm for work when another driver lost control on ice and broadsided his car. Our client was slammed against the window and hardware surrounding the w ... indow and suffered a brief period of unconsciousness. The ER doctor diagnosed him with a concussion and he had severe headaches, plus mild, occasional peripheral double vision in one eye. The mild, occasional double vision did not dissipate and was determined to be potentially permanent. It did not interfere with the client's job or daily activities excessively except to be annoying while reading.

This was a car accident in which a drunk driver rammed into a car in an intersection in Montgomery County and caused that car to careen head on into our client's sedan. Our client had numerous physica ... l conditions including pre-existing fibromyalgia and a blood disorder which had symptoms similar to muscular injuries which occurred from the accident. This was a severe collision in which our client's car was a total loss. We were able to distinguish the client's soft tissue injuries for which she had physical therapy for only about 6 months, from her prior condition and settle the case for the client who was very, very happy with the result.
