I was in search of a good attorney to assist me in a family case matter and found Gerry Salerno on this AVVO site. It was late on a Saturday evening when I reached out to him through his website and he responded immediately via email, which really shocked me. From the beginning he was down to earth..., intelligent and very professional. My case was very complicated. I paid him a small retainer with an agreement to pay monthly installments. Gerry did not file a petition on my behalf and was not present in court as we had agreed upon. I lost my case, which was expected, as it was a "long shot" to begin with; however I did face the daunting feat alone with no Lawyer by my side. I did have the opportunity to get to know Gerry, personally as a man and not just a lawyer during my case and for a very lengthy period of time afterwards. Gerald is the worse attorney that I never saw he is a thief he took my money and did not do anything that I agreed on. He either has no knowledge of family law and criminal law or just did not care about the case . I you want to destroy your life hire Gerald because he knows how to mess up your life ...by telling you do the things in wrong way and let you sign agreement that will be bad for you he will charge you more money to put comfortable the adverse party he will fight against you as client and force you agree with everything the other party wants. he will never work on your case. the only thing he will help you is go to the court and force you or let you agree with you adversary. I can go into specific detail of all the wrongs he has done, but there are way to many. I was false accused of a domestic violence although I had proof that I was innocent gerald couldn't show my innocence so he told me to sign an agreement of a restraining order he is definitely an idiot. He will never inform you about your case because he doesn't even review it. he doesn't have strategies to help you.I which the authorities can take a measure against this guy or cancel his license to force him go back to school. Please I please you guys if you are thinking about hiring this Lawyer DON'T!!! You will regret it.
