Biography
Scott D. Devore is a Florida Bar Board Certified attorney specializing in Immigration and Nationality Law and the managing shareholder of Scott D. Devore, P.A. in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. A 1992 graduate of the University of Maryland, he earned his J.D. from The Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 1996. Although based in South Florida, Scott represents foreign nationals before DHS (USCIS, ICE, CBP) and the Department of Justice (EOIR) nationwide, and is eligible to practice in all 50 states. He focuses on removal and deportation defense, permanent residence through family, employment or long-term presence, work authorization, waivers and naturalization. Scott is one of 55 Florida attorneys Board Certified in Immigration and Nationality Law, is AV-rated by Martindale-Hubbell and was named a Florida Super Lawyer from 2007 to 2010. An active AILA member, he served twice as President of its South Florida Chapter and currently chairs the AILA/USCIS West Palm Beach Liaison Committee and the DMV Committee. He has testified as an expert on immigration consequences of criminal convictions, lectured locally and nationally, and received two Immigration Awards from the Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County for outstanding pro bono service.
