Cara Morris

Ms. Morris is a registered US patent attorney with over 25 years of highly diversified experience representing clients in a variety of commercial matters.   She represents innovators seeking patents or trademarks and assists in preparing and prosecuting applications, including related litigation and appeals.  For more than 10 years she represented clients in a variety of litigation matters relating to commercial liability, contract disputes, professional liability, negligence and civil rights.  She has also represented clients as in-house counsel in the US and abroad.  She is a co-author of The Science & Technology Guidebook for Lawyers (American Bar Assoc., 2014), and co-author of "Crowdsourcing Biological Specimen Identification-Consumer technology applied to healthcare access" (IEEE Consumer Electronics Magazine, 2015). She is a member of the ABA, American Intellectual Property Law Assoc.; IEEE-Women in Engineering and Society on Social Implications of Technology; and was Session Chair at 2013 the IEEE International Symposium on Technology & Society, Social & Legal Implications of Law and Health related Technology, Toronto, Canada.  Ms. Morris has a JD and BA. She is admitted to practice in Florida, Massachusetts, and before the US Patent and Trademark Office.
