J.H. told officers during a routine traffic stop that he was in possession of his girlfriend's keys, which had her prescription ... Xanax and Methadone in an attached pill bottle. The case ultimately went to trial. J.H.'s girlfriend was able to produce her prescription for one substance, but not the other. The State of Florida called a rebuttal witness, an officer who produced a computer print-out from the E-FORSCE database- a database of prescriptions in Florida. We objected to this, but the testimony was allowed. J.H. was found Not Guilty of the substance that his girlfriend could find her prescription, but guilty on the other count. We appealed. The 1st DCA ruled that the E-FORSCE database should not have been admitted and the case was remanded for a new trial.
