Monica Ishak

Monica Ishak, Esq. is a first generation American and South Florida native. She is based in West Palm Beach, Florida and is barred to practice law in Federal and Florida courts. She is the founding partner and CEO of The Ishak Law Firm, P.A. Monica began her career trying cases as a certified legal intern in law school at the Public Defender’s Office in Miami.

Upon graduating law school in 2019, she started as an Assistant Public Defender in Palm Beach County where she tried numerous misdemeanor cases. During her time at the Public Defender’s Office, jury trials ceased due to COVID-19. During this time, Monica filed numerous Motions to Suppress and Stand Your Ground motions that ultimately resulted in the dismissal of nearly 30 cases during a two to three month time span. Monica also received the award for having the most jury trial experience in misdemeanor court at that time.

As jury trials started to pick up again, she continued her trial experience as she was promoted to handle felony and serious cases while providing her clients favorable results. After her time at the Public Defender’s Office, Monica continued her legal career as an associate at renowned law firm, Kubicki Draper, where she represented insurance companies in first party property and personal injury cases. Monica tried her first civil jury trial at Kubicki Draper. However, Monica decided to return back to private criminal defense where she continued her experience as a criminal trial lawyer representing people with various charges and successfully handled a first degree murder jury trial.

Monica continued her legal career as civil litigator and trial lawyer as in house counsel for a homeowner’s insurance company where she was on the trial team. While there, she tried numerous civil jury trials throughout the tri-county area. Monica’s passion lies in criminal justice reform and ultimately providing quality representation to those she knows she can help. She is a successful advocate and knows how to achieve favorable results for her clients.
