Kurt Wyland

Mr. Wyland is one of the founding Partners at Wyland Tadros LLP and is the Partner in charge of the Firm's Worker's Compensation Litigation Group.  For over two decades, Mr. Wyland's practice has focused on all areas of insurance defense and civil litigaion, patriculary fraud, trucking and occupational exposure claims.  With respect to the latter, Mr. Wyland currently represents employers throughout the State of Florida in various types of alleged exposure claims, including asbestosis, hearing loss, "Sick Building," mold, and other occupational disease claims.  Mr. Wyland also specializes in the representation of school districts, cities, and municpaliites.  Mr. Wyland, upon a review by his peers, and according to Martindale-Hubbell, the most respected authority with respect to an attorney's ratings, has been rated as "Top Rated-AV ® Preeminent” by Martindale-Hubbell. This is highest rating established by Martindale-Hubbell.

Mr. Wyland is certified by certified by the state of Florida Department of Financial Services to present seminars to adjusters for Continuing Education credits. Topics that Mr. Wyland has presented include Exposure and Occupational Disease Claims, Bad Faith Claims, Permanent Total Disability, Medical Benefits and Managed Care, Arising Out Of/Course and Scope of Employment, 120 Day Rule, and Fraud. Prior to founding the Firm, Mr. Wyland was the Managing Partner of the West Palm Beach office of one of South Florida’s largest and oldest insurance defense firms. He was also Senior Partner in charge of that firm’s Workers’ Compensation Litigation Group.

Mr. Wyland was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1992, and is admitted to practice in the Southern and Middle Districts of the United States District Court of Florida. He is a 1989 graduate of the University of Florida, and a 1992 graduate of the Stetson University College of Law, where he served on the prestigious Stetson Law Review.  Mr. Wyland is a prior law clerk to the Honorable Elizabeth Anne Kovachevich, a United States District Judge for the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, and currently serves as a Stetson Law Review Mentor. He is a past member of the Board of Directors for the Friends of 440 Scholarship Fund, a current member of the Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches, a prior Chair of the Florida Bar’s Grievance Committee for the 15th Judicial Circuit, and the current Chair of the Workers Compensation Section of the Florida Bar.
