There comes a time and one’s life when you have experienced “earned success” you absolutely want to keep what you have earned. When my parents relocated to South Florida from New Jersey several years ago, I was at once shocked and overwhelmed to find that their will and other legal documents were sorely outdated and insufficient by current standards. Shalloway & Shalloway compassionately and efficiently advised, sorted out... and buttoned up all the details so mom & dad's life long legacy was protected. Many years later when my father felt he wanted to make a few changes, I was stressing over the headache this was going to cause. But my fears were assuaged as attorney Brooke Colbert picked up the proverbial ball and ran with it as if no time at all had passed. She respectfully assured my father his intentions were valid and she swiftly and seamlessly created amendments pursuant to his wishes. Perhaps the most important, and I will even say unique, factor though, is the good people at Shalloway & Shalloway still infuse sensitivity and humanity into the client-attorney relationship - a rare find in today's legal climate.

My personal opinion is that he's a fraud using his father's reputation as a judge to profit monetarily from those in the midst of dire and/or urgent and very emotional situations regarding relatives in near-death and/or exigent life-threatening situations. Very disappointed. I feel like my family f...ell for a con artist. I should have known better when he insisted on a front-end fee of approximately $7000, which my father paid. He had an assistant who worked very hard and diligently on behalf of his law firm, but he, himself, couldn't be bothered once he had my father's money. Now that my mother has passed and I am thinking clearly, I realize how foolish we were to have fallen for his "pitch" at at local assisted living facility. I now find it disgusting, unethical, and possibly criminal that he did what he did, and again, feel so foolish that I allowed my father to give Shalloway some of his (my father's) hard-earned savings when he was desperate to do all he could for his wife of 60+ years. PLEASE DON'T BE LIKE ME AND MY FATHER AND FALL FOR HIS GIMMICKS. We saw him speak at a seminar where I now realize he was just on a fishing expedition to lure in elderly people facing desperate and emotionally-trying times that they'd never experienced before. I blame myself more than anyone because I felt something wasn't right in what he promised, but we were desperate and faced with very emotional decisions when we (my father) "hired" him. Don't fall for his spiel when he's on his soapbox claiming to care. All he cares about is money in his wallet. I would be interested if others had the same experience.
