Francisco J. Oporta Jr. is a dedicated immigration attorney who has been practicing law since 2017 and focusing on immigration law since 2018. Over the past eight years, he has represented clients across the United States in a wide range of immigration matters, including personally visiting clients detained at ICE detention centers in multiple states. In 2024, he joined Asghar Law after spending the previous years working with immigration law firms based in Los Angeles, Dallas, and Miami.

Mr. Oporta earned his Juris Doctor from Florida International University, a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Florida Atlantic University, and a Bachelor’s Degree in History from Florida State University.

A native-born Venezuelan raised by Nicaraguan immigrant parents, Mr. Oporta is also a naturalized United States citizen. His personal connection to the immigration process gives him a deep understanding of the challenges, sacrifices, and perseverance required to build a life in the United States. He is committed to providing compassionate, knowledgeable, and results-driven representation to individuals and families navigating the immigration system. Outside of his legal practice, Francisco is an avid video game player, a passionate baseball fan, and a hockey media personality.
