Client plead guilty to a second degree felony in Lawrence County, Ohio and was sentenced to prison. On appeal, Attorney Sweeney successfully argued that his client's guilty plea was not knowingly, int ... elligently, and voluntarily made. This was because the trial court judge failed to inform client of the maximum penalty of his charge and misinformed him about the issue of post-release control (parole). Because of this, the Fourth District Court of Appeals reversed client's conviction.
