Prosecute narcotics, immigration, gang, and firearms cases. Previously focused on human slavery, sex trafficking and child pornography cases; also prosecuted bribery, identity fraud, and computer hacking cases, completing over a dozen jury trials. Conduct grand jury investigations; prepare search warrants, wiretap applications, indictments and other charging instruments; handle pre-trial motions and complex jury trials for both Major Crimes, Special Prosecutions, and Narcotics divisions. Successfully defended cases appealed to the U.S. 11th Circuit Court of Appeals.
Assisted in the creation of the Southern District of Florida's Human Trafficking Task Force comprising more than 40 law enforcement agencies and non-profit organizations, and spoke at statewide and national DOJ conferences on human trafficking.
