R. v. M
Oct 01, 2016OUTCOME: Court ruling establishing 50% timeshare for our client; negotiated settlement regarding child support.
This was a child paternity, child custody, and child support matter. Mother and Father had never been married. Mother moved to restrict Father's custody to less than 50%. We filed papers that led to a ... ruling in which Father was awarded a step-up schedule that gradually increased his time with child to 50%. Similarly, we filed papers challenging Mother's request for increased child support, and this lead to a negotiated settlement, with which our client was happy. The custody order also set in place a method to resolve disputes over where the child should attend school. The names of the Petitioner and Respondent have been abbreviated to protect their privacy.
