Mia Makela Singh

Mia M. Singh’s experience encompasses the representation of business entities in both litigation and transactional matters. As business and corporate counsel, Mia has worked with companies involved in healthcare, telecommunications, technology, hospitality, construction, manufacturing, education, retail, sales, media, entertainment, financial services, marine services, commercial debt, and insurance.

Mia obtained her bachelor of arts degree from New York University in 1995 and her law degree from the University of Miami, School of Law in 1998. She began her legal career as a criminal defense attorney at Broward County Public Defender’s Office and later transitioned to civil practice representing businesses in both the public and private sector.

Mia has litigated in both state and federal courts, as both plaintiff and defense counsel, and has obtained successful results in numerous trials. She has defended health care institutions charged with negligence and government entities charged with civil rights violations. She is currently admitted to practice in all state courts in Florida and the United States District Courts for the Southern of Florida.

Mia also served two terms as president of the Weston Bar Association from 2015-2017. She continues to serve on the board of directors, hosting CLE events and judicial forums; and partnering with other non-profit organizations to raise awareness of current issues and causes.
