Sounds like SSA is saying you were paid too much at some point, but would have to see the records to know for sure. You have a right to appeal any...

First you should contest the fact of an overpayment until they prove that in fact there was one. Second you can ask for waiver of the overpayment....

Ex-wife's SSDI does not count for your family maximum so it will not diminish the child's benefit.

If they say you need to renew your visa, it must have expired or become invalid for some reason. So you need to get a valid one.
