You don't need his cooperation to file an amendment, then he can deal with the IRS. Tell CPA to do what he can without the ex.

The house is no longer yours and you have no interest in it. The amount it sold for was the market amount.

It is hard to understand how there could be multiple adult claims and you not be aware of them. You should get an attorney to review the facts.
