Anthony Joseph Alfero

Mr. Alfero represented me over 25 years ago in a divorce case and I was completely satisfied with the results of my divorce and I have referred several people to Mr. Alfero that are quite satisfied. Some people get confused with anger and passion, please don't get the 2 confused. He is a very hard w...orking professional that does his best for every client. I am also retaining Mr. Alfero to represent me in my current divorce. I trust him , I respect him and I have faith in him.

Mr Alfero has ruined my life! He represented me in a divorce in 2009 where as my ex husband was able to use a $600,000. Line of credit we had on the marital home. I asked him to help protect me from this but Mr Alfero only wanted more money each time we spoke with no assistance. My ex husband eventua...lly put me in financial ruin by using the entire line of credit and foreclosing on the mutually owned home. We had an agreement for a flat rate of $3500. To represent me and after my ex husband decided to foreclose and stop paying alimony and child support Mr Alfero wanted $6300. For nothing. He sent me a bill after we clearly settled on a flat rate and he even signed in writing. Not only am I in financial ruin from my ex husband but Mr Alfero is suing me for the incompetent attorney representation he provided.

My friend hired this questionable lawyer on a recommendation. Unfortunate she was and is too trusting and never dreamed of checking him out. Her's should have been an easy divorce with no property to split and only one teenager still at home. Three years later she is still not divorced, he has int...imidated her verbally and by letter. In this length of time he has gone through multiple secretaries. He failed to notify his client, my friend, of court dates, refused to return her phone calls for information, canceled appointments with her and the court, running up an exorbitant bill without any accounting for his fees. It is my opinion, my father was an attorney, this man should not be allowed to practice. He is an abusive scam artist. Please save yourself a lot of grief and find an honest attorney to represent you.

No showed for his appointment, then took over 2 months to do a simple matter, that he said would be performed in a week! Then, overcharged without regard to our time and money for the no show. The statement was a threat that if payment was not received, that interest would be charged! Totally unpr...ofessional and unethical manner in which he represents himself and conducts "business." Hired another atty.

This was the most incompetent individual I have come across. Beware of this Lawyer he will charge you for fictional pieces of work not turn paperwork in on time etc. He is horrible as a lawyer and worse as a human being.
