He received a distinguished service certificate from The Florida Bar, April, 2004 and EASL plaques of honor in 1999, 2005, 2006 and 2008. He was bestowed as Chair Emeritus of EASL in 2009, and was awarded a lifetime achievement award by EASL in 2012.
