Mr. Laurent represented me in Palm Beach County for an eviction, where my tenant believed his rights had been violated. I filed the lawsuit myself, but then had to hire Mr. Laurent after the tenant stated that I had violated his rights. The tenant and his lawyer really tried to pull one over on us, a...nd this included a 1 month sick note from his doctor etc. mr. Laurent was timely and very professional. In a place like Miami, where things can go really well or really bad, the same holds true for people that cross your path. I had the unfortunate experience with a landlord who tried to continuously get extra money from me, including lying about how I returned the house rental that she owned in order ...to keep my deposit (it was obvious this was not her first rodeo with intimidation and trying to get over on a tenant). I came across some not so great attorneys who simply were trying to charge high consultation fees along with creating high disclaimers to handle my case. In the end I would have lost my deposit in attorney fees and would have only proved a point to my beloved slumlord. He was poised, confident and most importantly had a morale so high with the desire to truly help, that he did not charge anything up front. On the contrary he was so determined and confident to act in a just manner that he worked based on contingency. We agreed to very minimal inevitable processing fees and he would not get paid unless it won in trial. Happy to say that the case did not go to trial, landlord realized I was serious and she did not want a piece of Mr. Laurent already having tasted his skills through negotiations, therefore I was able to get my deposit back. Mr Laurent's minimal fee for general filing of possible suit, along with his undying time and dedication to negotiations led me to be extremely thankful and more than satisfied with our outcome. Morale, integrity, honesty, and knowledge are priceless when it comes to a lawyer, but Mr. Laurent definitely prided himself with doing what was right for me at a minimal cost, so that I can come out virtually unaffected by someone else's devious attempted actions. Also, his office personnel were very professional, highly receptive to my calls, and keeping Mr. Laurent and I in constant contact.
