Christopher Eric Berman

Chris joined the DD family in August, 2020. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in History from Florida International University in 2014, followed by obtaining his Juris Doctorate in 2017 from Barry University School of Law. Chris is a member of Florida Bar Association and the Florida Bar’s Young Lawyers Division. Chris was sworn in by the Florida Bar in 2018 and has been fighting for his deserving clients ever since. Chris is a Florida native, born in Tampa, raised in Orlando and now resides in Fort Lauderdale. Chris has always been an avid lover of the Sunshine State, spending his free time by the beach, lifting weights, golfing and exploring the many state parks with his fiancé and two dogs, Amber and Stella. At Florida International University, Chris planted the seeds for his legal career by polishing his researching and writing skills throughout his undergraduate career. After graduating cum laude from FIU, Chris moved back to Orlando to attend Barry University School of Law. During his time at Barry University, Chris was selected as an associate editor for the Environmental and Earth Law Journal and later, was nominated as a student author for his article about solar energy progress in Florida, published in the Barry University Environmental and Earth Law Journal. Around that time, Chris also authored another historical article about Robert “Bob” Marley, for Barry University’s literary journal, “What Oft Was Thought,” published by Barry’s International English Honor Society. Throughout his Law School Career, Chris gained invaluable experience by serving his community while interning at the Public Defender’s Office in Titusville, FL. Later, Chris gained a passion for plaintiff work through a securities law internship, where he advocating for victims of financial fraud through FINRA Arbitration. Chris also was selected among his peers as a research assistant for his securities law professor, Mr. Benjamin Edwards, Esq. In 2017, Following his graduation at Barry, Chris continued to practice securities law for three years, where he helped recover millions for many deserving clients who were cheated out of their life savings by unscrupulous stockbrokers. In August 2020, Chris began a new chapter in his legal career when he was recruited by Jeremy Dover to join the rapidly growing firm of Demesmin and Dover, PLLC.
