Criminal Defense Experience
Mrs. Guerrero served as an Assistant Public Defender for the 17th Judicial Circuit in Broward County from September 2023 to January 2026, where she handled thousands of cases in a high-volume, high-pressure environment. During her tenure, she went to trial on several cases, fighting for her clients' constitutional rights and gaining invaluable courtroom experience. She also served on the Board of the Broward Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (BACDL), demonstrating her commitment to the criminal defense community.

Education & Leadership
Mrs. Guerrero earned her Bachelor's in Criminal Justice from Miami Dade College, followed by her Juris Doctorate from St. Thomas University College of Law. During law school, she distinguished herself through exceptional leadership and advocacy, serving as Vice President of Communications for the Nationally ranked St. Thomas Trial Team, President of the Cuban American Student Bar Association, and President of the Lambda Legal Society. She was also an editing member of the Intercultural Human Rights Law Review, an honor society at St. Thomas College of Law, and received the St. Thomas Pro-Bono Award for exceeding pro-bono hour requirements along with donor- and merit-based scholarships.

Current Practice Areas
In January 2026, Mrs. Guerrero established the Law Offices of Danielle Guerrero, PLLC, focusing on criminal defense, family law, and civil litigation to meet diverse client needs. The firm serves Miami-Dade and Broward Counties with headquarters in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Mrs. Guerrero continues to give back to her alma mater by serving as a Mentor and Coach for the Nationally Ranked St. Thomas Trial Team, sharing her battle-tested courtroom experience with the next generation of advocates.
