Gregory Allan Dunbar McFarlane

Gregory A. McFarlane, Esquire was born in Kingston, Jamaica and immigrated to the United States in 1996.  After completing his Undergraduate Studies (BSc. Business management) at Florida International University, Mr. McFarlane went on to study law at the University of Miami, School of Law in Coral Gables, Florida.  While in law school, Mr. McFarlane was active in Student Government, serving as a senator, and American Bar Association Representative. Mr. McFarlane was pleased to serve the University of Miami and was honored to be appointed as a Lt. Governor during his tenure as ABA representative for the University of Miami. Mr. McFarlane was awarded several honors and awards including induction into the prestigious society of bar and gavel and receiving scholarships in recognition of both academic performance as well as service to the law school community.

Prior to leaving law school, Mr. McFarlane, enrolled in the litigation skills program and as part of the program completed an internship with the Miami-Dade Public Defenders Office.  Before graduating from law school, Mr. McFarlane gained valuable courtroom experience, including trying his first case a 1st Degree Armed Car Jacking.    Since graduating from Law School, Mr. McFarlane has tried multiple cases to verdict, including felonies, Misdemeanors, DUI, Juvenile offenses, Workers Compensation Administrative Trials, Automobile Negligence jury trial and Civil Bench Trials. Subsequent to the Public Defender, Mr. McFarlane worked for a large Insurance Defense Firm. Soon after he began his career in solo practice.

Mr. McFarlane, is a member of the American Bar Association, the Caribbean Bar Association, the Jamaica American Bar Association.  He is licensed by the Supreme Court of Florida to practice in all state courts. He is also admitted to the US District Court for the Southern District of FLorida. He focuses his practice on civil and criminal litigation. Gregory lives in Plantation, with his wife, Melanie and two children, Kai and Ari.
