Lateshia Hiatsha Frye

Lateshia Frye is a civil litigator who has focused her practice on helping the injured and homeowners in property disputes and personal injury claims in Fort Lauderdale. She spent the last six years of her career defending insurance companies, along with general civil litigation, helping consumers since leaving the public practice as Senior Attorney of the State of Florida Department of Children and Families, in 2016. She has represented clients in civil proceedings in a wide-range of litigation and casualty context pertaining to third-party insurance litigation, slip and fall, premise liability, bad faith & extra contractual litigation, automobile liability and wrongful death litigation.

Lateshia was born and raised in Miami, Florida. She attended the University of Miami as a scholar-athlete, graduating with her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Criminology. She then attended Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan to obtain her Juris Doctorate in 2012. She has been honored as “The Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch,” in 2021. Over her 9+ years of practice, she has also fought for consumers in various other fields including breach of contracts, fraud, landlord and HOA disputes, criminal defense, immigration and bankruptcy.
