Brian David Gottlieb

Brian D. Gottlieb, Esq. is a Shareholder at Gottlieb Wagner, where he oversees the firm’s Commercial Litigation and Family Law divisions. He represents clients in a wide range of disputes, including complex commercial and contract matters in both state and federal courts. His broader practice includes real estate and probate litigation, foreclosure defense, landlord–tenant issues, and family law.

Mr. Gottlieb began his career at a well-regarded boutique commercial litigation firm in Fort Lauderdale, where he developed significant courtroom experience and handled a variety of complex civil cases. His performance and litigation skill led to his elevation to partner in 2011.

In 2015, he joined a growing South Florida firm to build and lead its Commercial Litigation and Family Law practices. Under his leadership, both divisions expanded substantially, and he played a key role in managing the firm’s South Florida presence. He was promoted to partner in 2021 and became a shareholder in 2022. Throughout his career, he has tried numerous jury and bench trials to verdict and is known for his strategic, results-driven advocacy.

A South Florida native, Mr. Gottlieb earned his Bachelor of Science from Florida State University in 2000 and his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad College of Law. While in law school, he served as an associate editor of the Nova Law Review. He holds an AV Preeminent® 5.0 rating from Martindale-Hubbell, reflecting the highest standards of professional excellence and ethics.

He has also been recognized as a Rising Star in Business Litigation by Super Lawyers for 2017 and 2018, an honor awarded to a small percentage of attorneys statewide each year.

Mr. Gottlieb lives in Weston with his wife and two sons. He is an active member of the Weston Rotary and enjoys spending time with his family outside of his legal practice.
