Marta M. Estevez

Marta has spent her career at the intersection of family law and community service. Inspired by her physician father and a lifelong desire to help people in distress, she chose a path centered on advocacy for vulnerable families. Marta brings 16 years of family law experience, much of it in public service with Coast to Coast Legal Aid South Florida, where she ultimately served as Deputy Director. During her time there, she became a trusted advocate for survivors of intimate-partner violence, helping clients navigate divorce, custody, and other high-stakes issues with compassion and practical guidance. Marta’s calm, empathetic approach is matched by a strong legal intellect, and she is widely recognized for careful case preparation and determined courtroom advocacy. Her frequent appearances in family courts across South Florida have helped her build credibility with judges and opposing counsel alike, and she is well-regarded for honesty and professionalism. Marta is a Florida native, a first-generation Cuban-American, and a Spanish speaker. She earned her B.A. from the University of Florida and her J.D. from Nova Southeastern University. She also serves her community through organizations and appointments focused on victims’ rights, fatality review, and human rights.
