At a time when specialization is a defining quality of the legal profession, I am a throwback to an earlier era. Happy to call myself a “hybrid attorney”, I am both a litigator and a deal-maker. I can, with equal facility, try a case to its final verdict, or quarterback a complex negotiation to its final signature.

Over the course of my career, I have become well versed in all phases of the litigation process in both state and federal courts, including at the appellate level. I focus my practice on commercial and complex civil litigation, and am able to bring a broad base of experience to the table including, but not limited to, contract disputes, business torts, surety bond claims, insurance recovery, intellectual property and other commercial matters. 

As a litigator, I focus on understanding my clients’ goals in order to develop an effective and personalized approach to resolve their disputes. In doing so, I am able to keep my clients grounded in reality by getting them to question their own motives before bringing a lawsuit, and if I perceive that the probable result is not in their best interests, I do not hesitate to advise against it. If they decide to proceed, my clients do so with their eyes open. But when the need to litigate a case arises, each client knows they will have a fierce advocate on their side.

Although I have established a successful track record as a commercial litigator, I measure my success in terms of trust and confidence that my clients have instilled in me, and by that measure I have been quite successful. I represent clients of all sizes, from Fortune 500 companies, to family owned, closely held corporations and individuals.
