About Omar
Biography
Omar is the co-founding partner and heads the litigation practice group at VG Law Group. Omar was a partner at the largest litigation defense firm in the state of Florida. There he handled all forms of personal injury claims as well as defending federal class actions. Prior to joining the firm, Omar was a prosecutor for the Office of the State Attorney in Broward County. During this time, he was responsible for hundreds of criminal convictions and prosecuted an array of criminal charges.
Omar is passionate about serving his community. He is the secretary of the Young Lawyers Section of the Broward County Bar Association, chair of the mentorship committee and co-chair of the Hispanic Lawyers’ committee for the Broward County Bar Association. He is also a member of the Broward County Trial Lawyers Association. He was appointed by the Broward County Commission to serve on the Consumer Protection Board for Broward County and is an Adjunct Professor of Law at Nova Southeastern University College of Law. Omar is an AV Preeminent® rated attorney and was named a Rising Star by Florida Super Lawyers magazine.
