In 2015 I got myself into a bit of legal trouble. This was the first time I'd experienced the legal system and had to embark on hiring counsel. After talking to a few attorneys that didnt seem like I was anything other then a potential payday I met with Hollis and Nichole at my father's recommendatio...n (he used her previously in a criminal defense case which she won after getting his probation officer to admit she lied about my father's supposed violation despite a previous attorney telling him it was hopeless). Immediately she gave me the vibe that I was talking to a compassionate human being as opposed to an attorney. Hollis and her team were understanding, patient and reachable which is more then I can say for myself during some of those stressful times. People were shocked when my case went as positively as it did. Even more then the outcome I appreciate her being real with me. Never told me what I wanted to hear nor did she use fear tactics to have an excuse to make the case more profitable for her. She did her job and did it damn well. I appreciate her and Nichole greatly. They get my highest recommendation for anybody seeking legal aid.

Stay away from this woman! She only cares about her retainer fee. I hired her for a very serious matter. I temporarily lost custody of my 3 year old son, and was only given a 5 min phone call per day. I was supposed to have another hearing in 30 days which Hollis never bothered to set up. I asked f...or supervised visitation, and again Hollis did nothing. I really did not speak to Hollis very much. I mainly spoke to her paralegal Donna who was rude and made me feel like I was bothering her. I did not feel that Hollis gave me any direction, or really cared if I got custody of my son. My family said we were going nowhere with Hollis, and we fired her. My new attorney is excellent. He got me an emergency hearing and I was able to get visitation, and I am confident I will get custody back. Hollis was useless, and a waste of money. Do not use her.

I’m in the middle of a divorce involving a spouse grappling with substance abuse, and, initially unaware of reviews, found Hollis on Google in October 2022. Entrusting my case to her based on her claim of advocating for women as a single mother, she assured me a $1500 payment, with the rest to be req...uested from my husband. As a concerned parent of a 5-year-old on the autism spectrum, I valued her alleged empathy. However, as time passed, disconcerting patterns emerged. Hollis frequently displayed unprofessional conduct with paralegals, remained unresponsive to queries, and consistently shuffled personnel, necessitating repetitive case explanations. Communication lapses included unanswered emails, missed hearings, and failure to notify me of court proceedings, adversely affecting my case and resulting in a shared 50/50 co-parenting arrangement with the father, who is both neglectful and addicted. Now, after a year-long legal battle, Hollis has abruptly abandoned my case in the middle of the process, leaving me with an exorbitant bill that has only exacerbated my difficulties. For those facing family-related legal matters, particularly those involving children, finances, property, or domestic violence, I strongly discourage seeking Hollis's legal services. A review of her track record and client reviews and feedback , coupled with a firsthand observation of her office dynamics, will reveal her questionable behavior. Furthermore, interactions with Hollis and her new paralegal Donna, the one is really rude after all, prove unhelpful, unprofessional and indifferent to your concerns, specially your kids well-being.
