Anthony C Soroka

Anthony C. Soroka is a partner at Weiss Serota Helfman Cole & Bierman, P.L. He provides counsel to local governments, businesses and community associations. Anthony has served as an Assistant City Attorney to the City of Weston and the City of Miramar for the past seven years. He has extensive experience with government contract disputes, procurement, business taxes, implementation of the municipal budget process, telecommunications, and counsel on compliance with public record, sunshine and election laws. He has served as counsel on charter review committees, municipal code reviews and business tax advisory boards and has drafted numerous government contracts, legislative items and administrative policies. Anthony serves as an alternate special magistrate and municipal prosecutor for municipal clients. Anthony's public sector successes include negotiation of a $100 million solid waste disposal contract, completion of a comprehensive review and rewrite of the City Code of the City of Weston, preparation of the legal analysis that supported overturning a $65 million no-bid contract, the dissolution of a local special recreation district, and voter approval of Charter amendments that he prepared.
