Alexandra Dorothy Slater

Alexandra Slater is a dedicated and passionate advocate for victims of sexual abuse. Alexandra takes pride in representing survivors and helping her clients achieve justice against their abusers and the institutions that enabled them. Alexandra serves abuse survivors exclusively and understands her clients’ needs and serves them with compassion, understanding, and perseverance.

Alexandra was born and raised in New Jersey. Alexandra attended the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida, where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She graduated cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law in 2012. While in law school, Alexandra interned for the Honorable Mindy S. Glazer in the Eleventh Judicial Circuit Court, Family Division.

After law school, Alexandra returned to the northeast in 2013 and began her legal career at the New York Legal Assistance Group in Manhattan, where she helped survivors of domestic violence to obtain orders of protection against their abusers and assisted them with their family law needs. Following that position, she worked as a personal injury attorney focused on auto liability cases in New Jersey. Alexandra spent the next several years working in insurance defense and sharpening her skills as a litigator in complex civil matters, but soon realized her true calling was in serving others.

Alexandra has represented hundreds of survivors of sexual abuse against religious institutions, private and public schools, foster care agencies, athletic organizations, and other large corporate entities. Alexandra finds no greater joy than celebrating a victory with her clients and works tirelessly to get them the results they deserve while empowering them to fight against the institutions that tried to keep them silent.

Alexandra is admitted to practice law in New York, New Jersey, and Florida.
