We were later notified that the client had been admitted to the hospital. Although there was no known medical urgency or immediate crisis indicated by the family or medical staff at the time, our firm offered to expedite the final drafts and meet the client directly in his hospital room to finalize the paperwork. We prepared, reviewed, and executed the necessary and requested documents within 24 hours to ensure the client had total peace of mind during his stay. Tragically and unexpectedly, the client passed away less than three days after the documents were signed. Because the paperwork was fully executed and legally binding, the client's explicit wishes were honored, and the specific family members he intended to safeguard were fully protected without the need for protracted legal complications."
