As a Father, I became intimately involved with my daughter's paternity suit brought against her by the father of her baby. The father's strategy was one of constant filings of litigation with the courts and false accusations against my daughter. We initially started this journey with another attorney... who proved to be incapable of keeping up with the flow of filings from opposing counsel and who didn't seem to have enough time to spend on our case. Most people thought the result wouldn't be in our favor mostly due to a FL state statute, UCCJEA. They were wrong and we won the case. The opposing side Appealed the court's decision. When the court of Appeals refused a continuance for an oral presentation due to conflicts in schedules, Luis cleared his calendar at a moments notice, attended the hearing and was prepared to present our case and represent us to the highest level. We WON the Appeal. I have never been involved with any litigation before in my life of 60 years. The process is stressful and painful to say the least. What I've learned through this - there are many attorney's in this world who are willing to take on cases and the income. It's a difficult course to navigate, to be able to find someone to help you - someone who operates with a high level of integrity, trust and commitment to what you're fighting for. I'm grateful that I found Luis and his team.
