I bought my first house this year and I used Justin Miller for my closing. As a first time home buyer I was a bit overwhelmed to say the least but with the help of Justin Miller it was a breez. Justin saved me when I was looking for a new apartment. I brought him a lease for an apartment that I looked at. He quickly read it and found the big deal items that were unfair to me, and completely in the landlords favor, and sent the lease back to the landlord with his changes. The landlord replie...d to me that he was not going to deal with an attorney and would only deal directly with me. I sent the landlords email to Justin and his reaction was that I should forget about this apartment and walk away based not the landlord alone. I initially didn't agree with Justin. I really liked the appartment and I had never had an issue with a landlord in my life, I didn't understand how Justin could make a decision so quickly. When I explained how much I liked the apartment to Justin, I asked him to look back through the lease to pick out only the necessary changes and return it to me so I could sent it back to the landlord. He took the lease, and wrote a very detailed response as to why each item he removed or changed was important, and how each could affect me later down the road. Additionally, on his own, without me even asking, Justin looked in to the landlord and found out that he almost always tries to keep renters security deposits, does not respond to requests to repair the AC, and not having the pool cleaned at the building. When I heard that he tries to keep renters security deposits that was all I needed to hear. As much as I liked the apartment, I could not live with knowing the landlord would try to keep my security deposit. I found another apartment and Justin reviewed the lease. This time the landlord wanted Justin to deal directly with his lawyer and that made the whole proscess easier. within two weeks I was moving in to my new apartment. This was my first time dealing with a lawyer, and I am very happy that my friend recommended Justin. When he sent me a the bill, I was surprised that he only charged me for the work he did on the second lease. I called him to verify that the bill was right, and he said it was. I did have to pay for his services, but his fee was much less than the security deposit that I would have lost if leased the first apartment, so I believe that I came out ahead. I will recomend Justin to anyone looking for a lawyer.
