As a trusted legal advisor and executive, my commercially driven approach has guided start-ups in need of structure and established companies focused on sustained profitability, with an emphasis on high level strategy, product/deal origination and expense management. I have grown complex global businesses organically and via M&A, and my insights and judgment have steered organizations through crisis management situations major and minor. Operationally, I have held executive level responsibility for legal, compliance and corporate secretarial activities across multiple business platforms and jurisdictions. In addition, I have worked extensively with institutional and PE investors, pre- and post-IPO, and I have led numerous equity, debt and alternative fund offerings in the US and abroad.

My background includes experience in the investment advisory, asset management, (re)insurance, internet strategy and government sectors, and as an entrepreneur I have been a founder and manager of various early stage entities. In addition to my separate financial advisory and private law practices, I am a senior advisor to the Millstein Center at Columbia Law School, where my focus is on corporate governance and emerging opportunities for directors and GCs. My extensive board experience includes roles in the corporate and NFP sectors.

My admissions to state and federal bars include CT, DC, FL, GA, MA, NY, the EDNY and SDNY. In addition, I hold FINRA Series 7, 24 and 63 licenses as well as various state insurance and real estate licenses. I obtained my BA from Brown University, my MBA from Yale University and my JD from Georgetown University, including study at the European University Institute in Florence, Italy. I am a dual US/Italian citizen.
