Elizabeth Sarah Katzen

I am partners with my parents representing primarily individuals, who have been injured, or families of those who have passed away, due to various types of incidents, including accidents and criminal pride ourselves on our team approach in the handling of each case.

I have been honored to receive the rating of AV Preeminent from Martindale-Hubbell. This is based solely upon the reviews of judges and attorneys (my peers).

My background includes working at both the state and federal public defenders offices. I still handle a select few criminal defense cases per year. My father/partner also handles litigation involving Will contests.

In addition to teaching students at the UM School of Law, I also serve as a Civil Infraction Hearing Officer in Miami-Dade County and have done so since 1999 having been appointed twice by a panel of judges, including the Chief Judge.

I have served on many community service projects and organizations, including the Advisory Board of the Roxcy Bolton Rape Treatment Center (2003 board of directors and 2004-2009 Chairperson).

I am a Past President of the UM School of Law Alumni Association.

In 2000, I was awarded the Thomas Davison, III, Memorial Service Award. In 2000, I was inducted into Iron Arrow, which is the highest honor society at UM.

I have been honored to receive other awards and accolades and am happy to share them with you.
