Richard Guzman

Richard Guzman is an associate attorney at SKG. Mr. Guzman was born and raised in Miami and received his bachelor's degree in Political Science at Florida International University in 2010. While at FIU, Richard became involved with WRGP, FIU's student radio station, as an on-air DJ as well as serving one term as elections commissioner for the Student Government Association. Richard also served as campus involvement chair for the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity.

After completing his undergraduate education, Mr. Guzman went on to become an inaugural member of the University of Miami School of Law's and Frost School of Music's joint degree program where he graduated from in 2013 after obtaining his J.D. and master's degrees.

After graduating from law school, Mr. Guzman worked for several boutique litigation firms in Miami, specializing in representing small business owners, medical providers, and individuals in a variety of claims against insurers, sovereign entities, and property owners including personal injury protection claims, personal injury, negligent security, and wrongful death before both state and federal courts. As the son of immigrants and a life-long member of the South Florida community, Mr. Guzman is intimately familiar with unique concerns of its residents.

Mr. Guzman continues to search for ways to improve upon himself and his community by being part of local philanthropic organizations such as Big Brothers Big Sisters of Miami where he has served as a big brother since 2016.
