I highly recommend Mr. Levey!

I'm shocked to see all these bad reviews. Mr. Levey has shown me nothing but respect, attention to my case and consideration for my situation. He went above and beyond to make sure I would get my money back and I got it all back. Seems like all these bad reviews are competitors or something. I highly... recommend Mr. Levey and his team!

Beware of Excessive Billing and Aggressive Practices

Be very careful before hiring this attorney. In my experience, every minute seemed to become a billable event, including routine phone conversations. Even after the relationship ended, the calls and billing issues continued. Additional charges were later added that I strongly disputed and believed... were unjustified. Instead of resolving the disagreement professionally, the matter escalated into a lawsuit over the disputed bill. The whole experience felt aggressive, excessive, and unnecessarily stressful. Stay away.

STAY AWAY FROM Lewis Levey

Extremely disappointing experience. We hired this attorney expecting professional, competent representation, but instead dealt with misleading information, poor handling of our case, and constant billing. After we terminated him, we paid what we were told was the final invoice in full. Two months ...later, he sent us yet another bill for roughly $2,000, including charges related to transferring our case to the new attorney we hired after firing him. What happened afterward was even worse. We felt harassed over the additional bill, and he ultimately filed a lawsuit against us over approximately $2,000. The entire experience was stressful, unprofessional, and left us feeling completely taken advantage of. Based on our experience, I would strongly recommend staying far away and finding another attorney.

An attorney or extortion?

I would strongly recommend staying away from this attorney. My experience with him was extremely frustrating, expensive, and disappointing. In my experience, the billing was excessive and the value of the legal work did not come close to justifying what I was charged. I repeatedly felt that I was ...paying significant amounts of money without getting the level of preparation, communication, or representation I expected from an attorney. What bothered me most was the way the financial side of the relationship was handled. After we moved on and hired another attorney, he charged us for work related to transferring the matter to the new attorney. Then, after we disputed what he was claiming we owed, he threatened to take us to small claims court. We paid the amount he demanded because we wanted to put the situation behind us. Even after that, he wrote to us again claiming that we owed him another $350 and essentially gave us the choice of paying it or going to court. At that point, it felt like the billing would never end. I came away feeling taken advantage of and deeply dissatisfied with how my money was being billed and spent. By the end, I had completely lost confidence in him and regretted ever hiring him. Hiring an attorney is already stressful enough. You should be able to trust that the person representing you is prepared, transparent, and professional. That was not my experience here. I would never hire him again, and based on my experience, I would tell friends and family to look elsewhere. Particular also the bookkeeper David Grossman likes to write the threatening emails for Lewis Levy who just runs a company that takes advantage of people with their threats of lawsuits. As I can see the many one star reviews people have the same issue as we did. Someone should look into this type of “shake down” law practice.

Would not hire this guy if my life depended on it!

For nearly five years, I have used Lewis Levey, and he would not have settled my case, as he billed me $50.00 every six minutes. I had to bring my corporate attorney in to settle the case, but I still ended up paying the plaintiff around $60,000, along with tens of thousands of dollars to Levey. ...He then sued me for nearly $11,000, and, because he did everything very fast, unlike his handling of my lawsuit, did not leave me time to hire another attorney, therefore I lost the litigation. STAY AWAY!
