Pedro Alberto Herrera

Provides counsel to Boards of Trustees for governmental employee benefit plans and multiemployer Taft-Hartley pension and welfare benefit plans,advising on all relevant ERISA, Internal Revenue Code and trust law principles. Counsels clients concerning fiduciary responsibility matters, conflict issues, duties of directed trustees, co-fiduciary liability, and the application of prohibited transaction rules. Assist Trustees in complying with all regulatory and legislative matters governing boards.

All aspects of labor law, whether private sector matters arising under the National Labor Relations Act or public sector issues under Florida's Public Employees Relations Act. Assisted unions in organizing campaigns, bargained contracts, presented arbitrations, and represented unions and workers in unfair labor practice hearings. Represented labor unions in cases involving the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act of 1959.
