I contacted Antonio G Hernandes and asked if he knew HOA law. He said he was very experienced and aggressive. This was for a case which was open and shut type for an organization that had no CCRs but put a lien on homes without authority to do so. He took 3.8K to start and billed every month charging... for things I discovered he did not do as well as items that were administrative and not billable. He knew nothing about HOA law. After 3 years he still had not scheduled the case. After being demanded, he finally filed the case... too late. He then claimed he could get the case to trial. There were three court dates for him to represent me. He did not show up for any of them. He wrote letters and pleadings but never included the evidence to prove them. He had no idea what he was doing. He lost the case and cost me a bundle of money. He is a fraud.

I hired A.Hernandez, I paid him 1,500.00 retainer with the condition that I will pay him up to 3,000.00 as the case goes forward. Unfortunately , I lost the case because he never showed up to court. He said he never received notice of the date of hearing. He then filed a motion to reopen the case. T...he judge granted the motion. He never showed up again, instead he sent a liaison who had no clue about what was going on. As a result the judges ruled in the other person favor and I lost not just my case but money I paid him. He had no intention on representing me due to the simple fact , he never, ever asked me any information about my side of the story . Once I paid him I didn’t hear from him for 6 to 7 months . I called him and said we lost the case due to him not showing up. I filed with the “bar association” almost a year ago. I have not gotten a response from them as of yet. However, I highly recommend that we all should refrain from hiring this lawyer . It appears that has a commitment , integrity and good work ethnic problem. We as a community must pull together to bring him to accountability for his poor behavior. We can rebuild him if we do a intervention. I wonder can we get a class action started. Anyway, don’t hire him. Thank you

He needed 1,500 after the first conversation to file a lawsuit. I did not hear back for a few months, so I texted for an update. Two weeks later, I got a response text saying he needed 5K to file...he could not work for free. WTF? Nothing was done. I paid 1,500 dollars to file an affidavit. I did no...t expect to sue a company for free either, but I expected more than 1500 for a chat. I considered going ahead with the suit but I have zero confidence in this lawyer.
