His client, the widow of a man who committed suicide after being accused of running a Ponzi scheme, was sued for more than $100 million in a class action case b ... y approximately 1,000 investors. Following a 4 week jury trial, Mr. Miles won a complete defense verdict for his client. The other defendants (not represented by Mr. Miles) were not as fortunate, in that the jury found some of them liable for $114 million and others liable for $46 million. The jury found in favor of Mr. Miles’ client on all counts.
