After his public service, he resumed private law practice with major litigation roles in such high profile cases as the Elian Gonzalez international custody battle, and the 2000 U.S. Presidential Election Recount.
Mr. Coffey has authored numerous legal works and serves as a frequent teacher and guest lecturer. Currently he is an adjunct faculty member for the University of Miami School of Law, teaching classes on Florida Constitutional Law. He also appears regularly as a guest legal analyst on international news networks, sharing his perspectives on major cases and controversies. He has most recently appeared as a legal analyst and consultant for NBC, MSNBC, and Telemundo.
Today, Kendall Coffey’s law practice includes national and international litigation, business disputes and litigation, enforcement of contracts and loan agreements, fraud cases, government disputes, and defense of criminal investigations. The Coffey Burlington law firm also focuses on assisting business people with their financial and personal disputes.
