Michael Levine represents families and individuals in a variety of personal injury cases, including premises liability, defective products, sexual assault, medical malpractice, hazing injury and death, car accidents, admiralty law, truck accidents, and more.
His experience and dedication to his practice has allowed him to help win millions in verdicts and settlements. For example, Michael was proud to represent a client who was injured by a defective product produced by a multinational corporation. By uncovering data, memoranda, and international communications, he was able to prove that this multinational company was aware of the product’s failures and failed to act. This case was settled for $7 million. In July 2017, Michael worked to represent a woman who suffered due to medical negligence. Her physicians discontinued her medication while she experienced significant heart problems, including atrial fibrillation. Their negligence caused her to suffer a stroke, rendering her paralyzed on one side. The jury awarded his client approximately $8 million.
Michael graduated summa cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law and obtained his undergraduate degree cum laude from the University of Florida.
Michael served as a law clerk for the Honorable Paul C. Huck, United States District Court Judge for the Southern District for Florida. Prior to joining Stewart Tilghman Fox Bianchi & Cain, he practiced commercial litigation at a large Miami law firm. Professionally, Michael has also been a member of The Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division, Board of Governors; Dade County Bar Association Young Lawyers Section, Board of Directors; Jewish Community Services, Board Member; Legal Services of Greater Miami Young Professionals, Committee Member; Florida Justice Association, Member; Miami Dade Trial Lawyers Association, Member; and Greater Miami Jewish Federation Leadership Development Institute.
Michael is passionate about giving back to the Miami community. He has volunteered at the Jewish Community Services (JCS) by delivering food and spending time with homebound senior citizens in Miami. In addition, he has chaired an annual “Miami Heat Watch Party” to raise money for JCS’s services. Michael helped raise over $3,000 to purchase microwaves for local homebound citizens. Michael and his wife Sari have co-chaired JCS fundraisers and collected over $20,000 for children who are victims of domestic violence. Michael has also volunteered at Dade Legal Aid’s “Put Something Back” Pro Bono Project. He creates reports to help children involved in domestic disputes. He does so by conducting interviews with families, teachers, and other witnesses that serve as testimonies for the court.
